Drs. Kale & Dane McMillan
Dr. Kale McMillan and Dr. Dane McMillan are fellowship trained specialists, uniquely distinguished as the only quadruple board certified, dual specialists, both specializing in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery & Prosthodontics.
Born in Grande Prairie, Alberta, they completed undergraduate studies at the University of Alberta before earning their dental degrees from the New York University College of Dentistry. They then pursued Prosthodontics at the University of Minnesota, achieving board certification in both the United States and Canada, a distinction held by only a small minority of prosthodontists.
Following this, they pursued oral and maxillofacial surgery training at the world-renowned Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, while also obtaining their medical degrees from the Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine.
Dr. Dane McMillan went on to complete fellowship training in Craniomaxillofacial Trauma and Reconstructive Surgery at Duke University, where he gained advanced expertise in treating complex head and neck trauma. He is the first Canadian ever accepted into this prestigious fellowship at Duke University.
Dr. Kale McMillan completed his fellowship in Head & Neck Oncology and Microvascular Surgery at the University of Michigan, where he was trained in the surgical treatment of head and neck cancer and complex reconstruction, including free tissue transfer techniques.
Together, the McMillan brothers are leaders in face and jaw reconstruction as well as prosthetic rehabilitation. Their expertise reflects more than 18 years of post-secondary education and advanced training at some of the world’s leading medical institutions. Their shared commitment has always remained the same: to provide the highest level of treatment and uncompromising care for their patients.

He was so charismatic and took time to ensure that I was comfortable throughout my procedure. My follow up appointment was with Dr. Kale McMillan. He was so caring and took time to answer my questions. They both exemplify the moto of Mayo Clinic (where they trained). “The needs of the patient come first”.
